The 7th Xanthomonas Genomics Conference is quickly approaching!
The 7XGC organizing committee would like to extend an invitation to all conference attendees to purchase guest passes for family who may be traveling with you to attend the conference dinner on Wednesday June 15th at the Sheraton resort outside (weather permitting) by the beach.
Adult tickets: $79.95 usd
Children 5-12 years old: $39.98 usd
Reservations must be received by June 6th, 2022.

The theme of the conference is: sequence, mechanism, application. The conference will focus on genomics, diagnostics, epidemiology, virulence mechanism, plant defense, and disease control of members of the genus Xanthomonas and Xylella.

7th Xanthomonas Genomics Conference Florida 2022

Thursday field trip to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a non-profit organization and aquarium in Clearwater, FL. It is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sick and injured marine animals, public education, conservation, and research.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium opened in 1972 at its current location on Clearwater, FL, in a former water treatment plant (the large pools being well-suited for rehabilitation operations).
Numerous forms of marine life are permanent residents at the aquarium, all of which have serious injuries that prevent their return to the wild.
Jolly Trolly will pickup attendees who wish to join the field trip and charter them through Clearwater beach in an open air trolly to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium after the Thursday morning meeting. Attendees can explore and enjoy the aquarium for the afternoon and the Jolly Trolly can take you back to the hotel.

The conference will comprise eight 2-hour sessions, plus two late-afternoon poster sessions. The conference will have the following sessions:
