Graphical Abstract Challenge
CREC Graphical Abstract Challenge
This Graphical Abstract Contest is designed and offered as a challenge to distill your complex scientific research into a single, high-impact visual summary. The contest will reward clarity, visual design, and the ability to communicate sophisticated scientific concepts to a broad audience.
- Open to all currently enrolled Master's and Ph.D. students and Visiting Scholars with a major professor or host professor at CREC.
- The graphical abstract must represent an aspect of a research project on which the student is or will be a primary author.
- The entry must include a title of the research paper or project and a brief, 100-word maximum, summary explaining the key takeaway.
- The abstract may employ any design software (Adobe Illustrator, Biorender, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Artificial intelligence cannot be used in any capacity for any aspect of the conceptualization or production of the graphical abstract or the supplemental material. This includes design components in software such as Biorender.
