Hiring Resources

All hires involved with research are required to be approved by RISC Assessment. This approval could add an additional thirty days to the usual hire process length. The applicant must be approved before being officially offered the position.

Though there are many variables that contribute to the necessary time for the hiring process, a standard US Citizen hire typically takes two weeks to process. This time would begin after all items have been received. Each additional requirement (Health Assessment, Nepotism, etc.) could add additional weeks to the process. Be prepared for foreign national hires to take up to 5 weeks. The sections below indicate the necessary paperwork for each type of hire.

If international hire does not already have a working visa please see the International Scholars section for additional instructions that will need to take place before hire can begin.

For more information on the hiring process and specific items that may arise; including Employment of Relatives and Request for Approval of Additional Appointment (HR600) please go to UFHR website at https://admin.hr.ufl.edu/hiring
