The recording studio is designed for CREC faculty, postdocs, staff, and students to create video and audio recordings. Reservations are required.
Presentation Design
There are design aspects that can improve the readability of PowerPoint presentation slides. There are also UF branding requirements for logos, fonts, and color schemes. Follow these tips when creating a PowerPoint presentation. UF logos can be found by logging into the intranet.
Video
When recording a video presentation with a PowerPoint file, you will have the option to include yourself in the video or to have your content only. If you choose to have yourself in the video with a PowerPoint presentation, leave space on the right side of the slide for yourself.
Slide size should be 16:9 or widescreen format.

Video Background Options
If not using a PowerPoint presentation as your background, the following options are available.

Clothing color is important for a video recording. Do not wear green, red, white, or the background color of your PowerPoint presentation. Solid colors look best.
Once the recording is complete, you will be given a USB with the file. Common file types include mp4, avi, and mov. Other file types are available upon request. The USB is to be returned within one week.
Audio Recording
Once the recording is complete, you will be given a USB with the file. Common file types include mp3 and wave. Other file types are available upon request. The USB is to be returned within one week.
Editing
No editing services are provided. There are several free editing programs available.

Studio Reservations
Reservations can be made for 1 or 2 hour recording sessions. Please plan for setup and file conversion during your session time. The maximum number of people during a recording session is two people. No food or drink is allowed in the recording studio!
