Welcome
This website is devoted to the study of hemipteran feeding behavior using EPG methodologies with a focus on the AC-DC system currently used by researchers at the Citrus Research and Education Center.
AC-DC EPG Equipment
Most flexible instrument for piercing-sucking feeding behaviors of medium-to-large hemipterans and blood-feeders, as well as other arthropod behaviors besides feeding.
EPG Online Workshop
The EPG Online Workshop offers instructional videos to learn how to do all aspects of AC-DC EPG (with applicability to DC EPG) such as wiring aphids and large leafhoppers, recording feeding, reviewing and measuring recordings. In addition, there are lectures on the history, principles, types of instruments, and waveforms of major insect groups. There is also a guest lecture on histological correlations by Dr. Holly Shugart of Pennsylvania State University.
International EPG Conference
The next International EPG Conference will be held January 25-29, 2027.
