Modeling Short Course
Materials and Prerequisites
The workshop supplies all instructional materials, including handouts that cover the theory, so participants do not need to prepare any background reading beforehand.
On Day 1, participants should have the following items:
- A laptop with administrative rights to run the software.
- HYDRUS installed and ready, meaning HYDRUS-1D and, for those who wish to follow the Day 2 demonstration, the HYDRUS 2D/3D demonstration version.
- Soil texture, irrigation, and any monitoring data from their own sites for the Day 2 clinic.
A shared folder provides example projects, theory and slide handouts, a parameter cheat sheet (van Genuchten and Feddes values for common textures), and reference papers.
